Had my helmet for 2 weeks now . I know it's not a expensive helmet but I am very pleased with all the features. It is very comfortable, I love that I can have a full face helmet and not have to remove my glasses to put it on. Although the sending unit for the brake light is to be purchased separately.I'm going to get another for my wife

This is my second Gmax helmet, my first was a GM68 with tinted external tinted shield. The ratcheting mechanism wore out twice during 12k of riding and the 68 was really noisey. This helmet is everything the 68 should have been, quiet, well ventilated, smooth in turbulent air, and lighter. The shields on mine are perfect as they were on the 68, I really could not believe the quality of them the first time I tried on a Gmax! I bought the brake light kit for the 68 and will most likely buy one for this helmet, as it is very nice and inexpensive safety add-on. I've owned many "cheap" helmets over the years, these are by far the nicest cheap helmets you can buy. I've had two major accidents with cheap helmets and while they protected my noggin just fine I definitely gave up some comfort and functionality, I don't feel as though I'm loosing a thing here. The modular mechanism works smoothly and easily even with heavy gloves. The tinted shield moves smoothly and is flawless. The vents are a chore to adjust while on the fly, just had a brisk ride this morning and wished I had closed a couple of them. At least this helmet has plenty of them and its not hard to figure out which ones to close for the next ride. You just can't get much more bang for your buck in a helmet. Oh and the paint color matches my bike perfectly.

A great helmet, Seals are excellent moves very nicely thru the air, Not quite as silent as my 400.00 shoei, but pretty close. the air flow in the gmax is actually a bit better than the shoei - I had always wanted a modular as i wear glasses and this is my first - my gf liked it enough that we purchased a second - the internal sun shield is a great feature and the adjustable flashing light on the rear of the helmet is totally trick - several auto drivers have commented on its visibility at gas stations.Comes with a nice bag to keep it pretty the Helmet sizing guide on the gmax site is very accurate - use it !

To be clear. I bought this helmet online and had it shipped to where I live on a remote island in the Pacific. So I wanted to comment on people who give a bad review for the sizing of the helmet. As I only got one shot to get it right I measured my head with a tape measure and looked at there sizing chart... it... fits... perfect. So to everyone who wants to blame GMax for the fact that there is no universal 'medium' all I have to say is know your inches, not how big you THINK it is. Im sure others will be disappointed doing the sameAs for the features. Putting on the GMax was like accidentally being placed in first class on an international flight when you've only paid coach. You get everything. I honestly dont know what more you could put into a helmet... FOR $125. For being a "cheap" helmet the review that sold the helmet for me was the guy who was in an accident. Broken ribs and the works but his head was cushioned with no problems.
There are so many features in this helmet that I absolutely love and will never settle for less. The visor is wide and easy to take off and clean, the internal sun visor is just awesome, and its a FULL MODULAR that is solid. And the vents, they are easy and they are everywhere I use them scientifically. I completely notice a difference on which ones I open in this tropical heat. And then finally the light on the back. Living on an island, traffic laws are not really followed so as I good a rider as I might be that doesn't save me from everyone else. The light on the back is perfect. I just use the flash settings which I can adjust when I have it on my head and I have experience multiple cars slow down that would have previously confused me with the tail lights of other cars. Not to mention the blue tooth option for the breaks and the helmet light. Seriously? That's awesome
The only feedback I want to agree with is that it does fog up at stops and it is pretty loud above 80 km or 40-50 mph. But again, back to the original word. Value! Also to the people who say it is too heavy, get a stronger neck?
This is the swiss army knife of helmets and everyone I show it to on the island is blown away by all the features and couldn't believe the price.
